Job Summary

As a Paver Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of paving machinery to ensure the successful completion of asphalt projects. Your primary tasks will involve setting up equipment, controlling the paver during operation, and making necessary adjustments to ensure a high-quality finished product. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, works well in a team, and is committed to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate paver machinery to lay asphalt and ensure a smooth finish on surfaces.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections to verify that equipment is in safe working condition.
• Set machine controls for proper mix temperature and material flow.
• Monitor the progress of work and make adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with ground crew and supervisors to ensure adherence to project specifications and timelines.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on paving equipment.
• Adhere to safety regulations and promote a safe work environment.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities and equipment usage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paver machine operator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as required.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and practices relevant to the construction industry.
