Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a vital role in our administrative team by managing a variety of tasks related to Xero and general office administration. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, efficient, and has strong attention to detail. You will work closely with our finance and administration teams to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable using Xero software.
  • Prepare and process invoices and payment runs, ensuring accuracy.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis.
  • Generate financial reports and assist with budgeting processes.
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing documents.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and vendors regarding financial queries.
  • Assist the finance team with various ad-hoc tasks as required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Xero accounting software is essential.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within a finance department.
  • Prior experience in remote work environments is advantageous.
